Raven Society Committees

The Raven Society's effectiveness depends upon the spirit of volunteerism that is so abundant in our "neck of the woods". All the work is done by the Membership and the Board of Directors. Vision Committee
Charge: To develop a Raven Society vision of Blount County with associated policies for land use and local government.

Events Committee
Charge: To plan public events as necessary to facilitate TRS goals.

Membership
Charge: To increase membership of TRS and raise visibility in the community.

Elections Committee
Charge: To recruit, promote and support candidates for public office who will work unselfishly to preserve the natural, rural, and historic character of the county and who will help restore confidence and integrity in local government.

Communications Committee
Charge: To keep the membership of TRS informed as to the activities and goals of the group; to provide the written communication from TRS to the community.

Legislative Committee
Charge: To watch all area legislative bodies and pending legislation and communicate such information to TRS.
